L’arte come strumento per scandagliare l’animo umano, il colore per riprodurne tutte le sfumature con pennellate ora lievi e traslucide dell’acquarello ora densamente materiche.
E’ forse per questo che le opere di Anne Delaby ci travolgono con un vortice di sentimenti in piena in esse siamo trascinati, sospesi tra dionisiaco e appolineo a sperimentare tutte le sfumature di cui è composto l’animo umano che come prisma si aprono in tutta la loro poliedricità.
Un dio caduto che cerca se stesso nel mondo che lo circonda, che interpella la natura per trovare risposte che la rielabora ne amalgama i colori e le forme artisticamente per ricreare un mondo a propria immagine e somiglianza.
Ammirando le tele di Anne Delaby possiamo immediatamente intuire come esse beneficino di una straordinaria sensibilità coloristica ben irrorata dagli studi di quest’artista che ha saputo reinterpretare e trasporre su tela le rivoluzionarie teorie cromatiche di Goethe e Jodorowsy.
La sua è un’arte consapevole della propria carica comunicativa ed emotiva: “L’intrinseco potere di trasformazione dell’arte – scrive Anne- permette di portare Luce nel buio, ordine nel caos e di trovare soluzioni in situazioni apparentemente prive di speranza. L’Arte è un canale tra il mondo spirituale e quello fisico, una forma di gioco tra il caos e l’ordine, tra volontà istintuale e pensiero razionale, solo nella libertà…”
L’arte che cura, arte che illumina l’animo di chi crea ma anche di chi si pone dinanzi all’opera con animo pronto e ricettivo.
Ammirando le opere in esposizione non possiamo non lasciarci condurre al cospetto di un’arte che si fa evento che sboccia e si sviluppa in un hic et nunc tutto interiore, scintilla di un atto creativo che rende l’artista demiurgo di un mondo in cui il colore è pura emozionalità.
La spiritualità si realizza nel raccontarci di un mondo in cui la parola si fa simbolo e il simbolo è sfumatura di colore, emozione, espressione di umanità. Un percorso fatto di luci ed ombre, esperienze e vissuto che dai particolari prendono la forma dell’Universale.

Art is an instrument to fathom the human soul, colours to reproduce all its hues, sometimes with delicate and translucent brushstrokes of watercolours, sometimes with extremely materic brushstrokes.
This is probably the reason why Anne Delaby’s works drag us into an overwhelming whirlwind of feelings and we find ourselves caught between a Dionysiac and an Apollonian state of mind, experimenting all the hues existing in the human soul, which open up like a prism showing its complete polyhedral essence.
It is like a fallen God looking for himself in his surrounding world, questioning Nature in order to find answers, re-elaborating it, blending colours and shapes artistically in order to recreate a world, which totally resembles itself.
Admiring Anne Delaby’s paintings, we can immediately sense how much they benefit from an extraordinary sensitivity of colour supported by this artist’s education, who was able to reinterpret and transpose Goethe’s and Jodorowsy’s revolutionary chromatic theories on canvas.
Hers is art conscious of its own communicative and emotional power: ““The inherent transforming power of Art enables Light to penetrate darkness, order to pervade chaos and to find solutions in situations which are apparently hopeless. While admiring the works exhibited, we cannot help but appreciate Art as an event, which blossoms and develops into an inner perception hic et nunc, a spark of a creative act which makes the artist demiurge of a world in which colour represents pure emotion.
Spirituality stems from portraying a world in which words become symbols and these are shades of colour, of emotions, and an expression of humanity. It is a path of light and shadow, life and personal experience which shape all the details into a universal form.
