Art as Inner Wealth: The Soul of Collecting

From August 16th to 24th, the evocative spaces of the Torre delle Arti in Bellagio, the pearl of Lake Como, will host the second edition of TABLINUM | THE ART COLLECTION: a vibrant chapter of the Summer in Art series, a project born from the vision of Tablinum Cultural Management to bring contemporary art into dialogue with exceptional venues and the public at large.

Nestled between lake and mountains, Bellagio is more than just a destination—it is an atmosphere, a place of enchantment and cultural magnetism. Within this context, the Torre delle Arti, a historic venue rich in charm and resonance, becomes the perfect setting for a project that redefines the meaning of collecting.

This year’s edition revolves around a bold and timely concept:

Art collecting as an accessible, emotional, and transformative experience—not the privilege of elite investors, but a journey open to all who seek beauty, reflection, and inspiration.

The Exhibition Concept

Curated by art historian Elisa Larese Moro, TABLINUM | THE ART COLLECTION – Second Edition presents a constellation of international artists whose works speak in different languages—photography, sculpture, fiber art, digital abstraction, thermography, and painting—but all share a common aim:

To establish a deep, intimate connection with the viewer.

Art here becomes a mirror of the self, a tool for self-discovery, and a luminous presence in daily life. Each artwork is a portal—an invitation to pause, feel, and reimagine one’s relationship with the world.

The program includes:

• Multilingual guided tours

• Artist talks and conversations • Personalized interaction with the curators to help visitors choose artworks that resonate with their unique sensibility

Featured Artists

Debranne Cingari (USA)

A master of visual storytelling, Cingari blends photography and assemblage to create dreamlike skylines populated by fragments of memory—keys, book pages, mechanical elements. Her compositions speak of identity and transformation, evoking inner landscapes rich with poetic tension.

Her recent series, Little Words Project—presented in 2025 at Villa Carlotta, Lake Como—explores the evocative power of language and memory. Each artwork becomes a visual poem, where carefully chosen words intertwine with symbolic imagery to reflect on emotional nuance, human connection, and the subtle narratives we carry within.

Tomorrow is Just a Maybe, 2024, Thermal sublimation on aluminum assembly,40×60 cm

Nathalie Derville aka Atéhel (France)Sculptor and ceramist, Atéhel brings ancient myths to life through the delicate medium of porcelain. Her series Mythes et Civilisations revives ancestral archetypes with a tactile, almost magical touch, shaping timeless narratives.

Ruben Dario (Venezuela / USA / Netherlands)

A contemporary artist with a vibrant and original voice, Ruben Dario merges cubist geometries with expressive color to explore the multifaceted human experience. His works convey resilience and hope, addressing themes of identity, social justice, and collective memory. Inspired by the theatricality of the Venetian Carnival, Ruben unmasks the illusions of contemporary society, offering moments of reflection and light.

Lara Zappa (Italy)

A prominent figure in contemporary fiber art, Zappa creates monochromatic compositions using knotted threads stretched across nails. Her works evoke minimalist, conceptual digital geometries, the result of a handcrafted gesture turned into visual language.

Lake Como, 2025. 58×48 cm, string art and mix media.

KyuSung Han (South Korea)

Han transforms technique into meditative practice. His deeply symbolic works open imaginary spaces that connect East and West, tradition and contemporaneity, technical precision and poetry.

Her light yet layered works combine watercolor, drawing, and mixed media, with a special focus on light, space, and suspended time. Zhurkina transforms subtle details into visual narratives, revealing a silent yet emotionally charged universe. Why Bellagio? Why the Torre delle Arti?

In Bellagio, every stone tells a story, and every view opens to beauty. The Torre delle Arti, with its layered history and panoramic position, is a cultural landmark where past and present converge in harmony. It is here that TABLINUM Cultural Management has chosen to create a unique dialogue between art, place, and people—an experience where each visitor becomes not just a spectator, but a participant in the ongoing evolution of contemporary art.

Moreover, Bellagio is a milestone, a starting point for Tablinum: it was here, in 2013, that the studio was founded, and from this base numerous international projects have been organized and curated. Now, every summer, we return to present the results of this global work, born from connections and inspirations.

“Let art surprise you. Let it transform you.

Let it begin in Bellagio!”
