“TERMOX2 does not merely document—

it translates the very energy of the world

into images that move, intrigue, and provoke thought.”

With TERMOX2, Silvano Mantegazza redefines the concept of photography, pushing it beyond the limits of traditional visual perception and into the realm of the invisible. Using high-resolution thermographic imaging—a technology typically reserved for technical and engineering applications—the artist subverts its purpose, transforming it into a powerful and unexpectedly poetic aesthetic language.

The strength of TERMOX2 lies in this very semantic short-circuit: what was originally designed to measure, inspect, and diagnose becomes a means to reveal hidden presences, traces of heat, and energetic pulses that escape the everyday gaze. In Mantegazza’s preferred subjects—moving vehicles, animals, architecture—there is not only the beauty of form, but a kind of thermal portrait of existence, where matter becomes vibration and stillness is turned into dynamism.

The project is fully embedded in contemporary discourse thanks to its hybrid and interactive nature: each work is equipped with an integrated NFC chip, giving access to exclusive multimedia content, including a dedicated NFT version, thus offering the viewer an immersive, multi-dimensional experience. In this way, photography is no longer just image, but becomes a narrative device, an experiential portal, a connected object.

Presented in prestigious international venues—from the Biennale della Creatività in Ferrara to World Art Dubai—TERMOX2 has drawn attention for its distinctive visual identity, where vibrant abstraction and chromatic intensity merge with technical precision and conceptual innovation. This is not a project that simply documents: it translates the energy of the world itself into images that captivate, intrigue, and provoke reflection.

Mantegazza shows us that beauty can dwell even within the cold logic of thermal data. And that in the space between art, science, and technology, we find one of the most fertile grounds for the visual language of the future.

Silvano Mantegazza aka Termox2  is a Visual Artist – High-Resolution Thermographic Photography

A passionate technologist, photographer, and traveler, Silvano Mantegazza began his journey into thermography in 2018, combining drone technology with a certified pilot’s license. Since then, he has transformed this technique—traditionally used for technical purposes—into a powerful artistic tool capable of revealing what is invisible to the human eye.

Over the past two years, he has developed the TERMOX2 artistic project, an evolution of thermographic photography in a contemporary and conceptual key. His ultra-high-resolution images focus primarily on automotive and animal subjects, without overlooking architecture and urban environments. Each image stands out for its visual intensity and its ability to convey heat, energy, and movement.

A distinctive feature of the project is the integration of physical and digital art: every work is accompanied by an embedded NFC chip, allowing access to exclusive content, including personalized videos and the related NFT version. This significantly expands the visual experience into an interactive and immersive dimension.

Main Exhibitions:

In all these venues, TERMOX2 has aroused considerable interest among the public and surprised several art critics with the originality of its artistic language and the strength of its visual identity.
